New paradigm, now in this minute
These days, I pause long enough to really consider, do I give this thing energy or do I put my energy to better uses? All things being equal (imagine that if you can), do I want more of this thing in my future world? Little by little and, conversely, all at once with an immediacy that continues to shock me, this changes everything. Continue reading →

Out of the spin cycle
I was doing some dusting the other day, reaching up high to the top of a book shelf when I noticed a long-legged spider hanging on a fine thread of web in the corner of the ceiling, spinning and spinning … Continue reading →

One foot in the air
I often conjure up in my mind’s eye Blake’s “Glad Day” when I ponder the concept of “void” or “pure potential”. Does such a thing even exist, a question raised by my last post “Courage and Curiosity in the Void“? … Continue reading →

“Brain” waves and consciousness: the evolutionary imperative
Exploring how “brain waves” are related to human consciousness; how they already impact our thinking and behaviour and whether they are on the verge of changing us all, in a profoundly evolutionary sense with, no doubt, massive implications for our world. Continue reading →

Crossing over
We’ve been made so wary of “crossing over”. Yet Our crossing over points are where we get to know ourselves better, to express ourselves and manifest what we choose…indeed, where we consciously create ourselves through our very choices to mix a bit of “this” with a little bit of “that”. They’re what make us divinely human via daily exercise of our manifester skills, based on our own personal recipe…of both head and heart. Continue reading →

Becoming
I have just turned fifty in the last week; something which I have approached with unbridled optimism and even excitement (none of the woe and sardonic humour that most people seem to apply) yet it is a formidable portal, nonetheless. As it approached, I seemed to garner my unseen arsenal of personal strengths about me as through preparing to wear them all in a new and no-longer apologetic way. It felt like that season of watching the fruit spring from where the blossom had once been and I’ve been smacking my lips on how ripe that all feels; how I relish the opportunity to wear all the deeper, stronger colours of myself and be all that I am without hiding any of it anymore. A week into stepping into what feels like the lush garden of my fifties and I am still ambling around bare-foot, touching all the trees, wearing a Mona Lisa smile upon my lips…
Sharing thoughts on several midlife transitions I am currently navigating; all of them proving to be as fascinating as they are unchartered territory. Continue reading →

Doing absolutely nothing
How do we get to regain the marvel-factor that must come with each small achievement or observation of commonplace experiences following an event such as devastating illness or a close brush with death, without having to go through the terrible loss or trauma of anything being “lost”, even if only temporarily? How do we get back to that level of awe and appreciation, the awareness and the in-the-moment presence with what is happening right here and now (not in our heads)? Because, as a species, we need these perspectives more than we ever did; they round us and they rebalance us in ways critical to our ability to thrive and survive. Continue reading →

Fountain of Life
it all feels done done done now…all is complete…like reaching a journey’s end in some hugely momentous way. Newly, I feel able to rest in a feeling of overwhelming grace that had previously eluded me though I got very close to it; a deep and immersive awareness of myself and of the whole planet resting in a permanent state of grace that is already here; and we get to claim it as soon as we like. It was like slipping into a warm pool and accepting a deserved rest. And even though I have had to open my eyes and to go back to my daily activities, and though things go in on their worldly, far less than perfect-seeming, way (I feel like I want to entreat you, don’t be fooled or taken off track by them), I still know that it is done; that it is not compromised by what “seems” on the outside, represented in our three-dimensional world, which can be much slower to catch up. Continue reading →

The inspired and bliss-filled freehouse of the mind
I used to ask “why is it that, when I paint, thoughts of uncomfortable situations from long ago and old troubled relationships with people I haven’t seen for years sometimes float through my head?” They are no longer loaded at … Continue reading →
