Coming home

Where are my edges, where does my sense of self stop and other begin? What feel like the non-negotiable boundaries required in order for me to feel safe and how does modern life or the demands of my work encroach on that? How did the quieter life of the past year make me feel (better or worse; some introverts have thrived)? What does that say about my desire to keep working/living the way I used to before lockdown? What are my true priorities in life and what do those say about where I feel most relaxed and comfortable to be myself, can I make my life fit those priorities better? Is there more inner work to be done so that I can feel safe regardless and not be at the beck and call of outside circumstances the way I am? Do I have all the resources I need to feel safe unconditionally like that, even as I stand here in my socks, or do I lean too much into external factors, both for comfort but therefore also as a source of trigger when things “go wrong”? “Imaginal” us and harnessing the creator potential of Christmas

I won’t let anyone else decide whether Christmas is happening since it’s a matter of the heart and a personal state, not a product to “have Christmas” and in this state of deepest love and appreciation, focussed around the hearth (heart + earth), I sense that I touch upon the very crucible of creation. No one can take those feelings away from me; they are part of the very fabric of who I am and I take them all too seriously to consider allowing them a year off because of material circumstance. New synapses, old synapses

I’ve had a growing feeling all year long that the exercise in social distancing has been some sort of externalised manoeuvre of growing new synapses. The more the old haunts of my daily walks closed off, became inaccessible or had too many people suddenly launched into them, the more I discovered new places, often right beneath the very eyes of where I used to pass by but never noticed the subtle entrance to pathways into enchanted woods that have turned out to be new-favourite walks. Continue reading

Don’t get caught up in “it will always be like this from now on…”

We need a spirit of adventure and possibility on the inside to effect this gear-change, the colourful imagination to hold whatever preferred reality we choose as a way finder “up ahead” in our sights, plus the sheer determination to never give up. If this sounds so very hard to pull off, it’s a measure of just how far we have been separated from our most intrinsic “higher” human qualities by a false narrative. Continue reading

Spinning straw into gold

We are in a transition period*, one foot in the old, one in the new and never before made so tangible to so many people, though it’s been “happening” for at least a decade. Even the sun is enacting it; … Continue reading

Window of opportunity as we learn to live from higher harmonics

At this point, I feel compelled to try and convey the pressing importance of choosing our own timeline carefully and consciously. The sense I get of there being, as it were, a whole bunch of possible timelines clutched in each of our hands at this unique moment and so we each get to single out the very one we want to become our next “reality’…but how do we do that, what do we listen to, where do we allow our minds to plunge and explore during this potent lockdown phase whilst still holding onto what is the highest outcome for us and truly making a positive difference, using our most specific and innate skills? Continue reading
