Trick of the light

When you have felt disillusioned and out of place most of your life, though you have tried so very hard to bring light, what next? How do you bring the light deep into your struggling state of embodiment, to make the ultimate paradigm leap of your lifetime? You see it all as it is, you shout it out, you bring awareness in to light up the whole picture and you continue working at being the light and then…well, let’s see. Continue reading

1000 stories, a single shared ending

What does Sheherazade have to tell us about where we are now, at the end of “1001 nights” of human history? Are we ready to face a new dawn together or do we throw ourselves back into a perpetual re-run of all those same old stories with their oh-so predictable endings? When this particular story came up for me just so powerfully again, having been such a long-running companion throughout my life, I found myself sitting up and taking note of what it had to tell me about how we are holding a whole new kind of an ending in the palm of our unified hands. Both the masculine and feminine aspects have to be prepared to face up to the fact there are no new endings to the stories they have both already heard; they can only move on by overcoming each of their fears (both equally vaid…yet together, they neutralise) creating a brand new story, together. Putting our hands together…for all of us

I feel like I have spent an entire lifetime studying the phenomenon of healing the rift between left and right hemispheres and I study it still; in constant awe of the unrealised heights of cohesion and joy that seem to be available when we just keep pushing the union further. There is something orgasmic about reaching that single point of collaboration; which is exactly what orgasm is…a meeting place of body and spirit. You could say, an experience that is so much more than the sum of its parts. Such an experience should be all the enticement it takes so why are we, often, so far off from the mark; as though we have developed chronic amnesia or had the remembrance of wholeness trained out of us by something that had more chaotic intentions in mind. When we are motivated to seek this union-point across all of our skills and activities, our daily lives, careers, our societal, political and global affairs, we will all reach that delirium of a single focus together; reached by collaborative means that make all our diverse gifts, leanings and priorities equally useful to the mix. The feminine has landed…so how do we induce her to stay?

…As the feminine learns to dare to take down her blockade and end her long denial of her own natural receptivity (having fully reactivated the divine integrity that keeps her perpetually intact from within), the male learns how much more fulfilling it is to give (not force) and how to enjoy holding something like a tender embrace (not an imprisonment or statement of ownership) once again. And as the feminine deigns to come into this arrangement, wanting to stay, to receive, to be offered the structures in which she can be her most playful and unlimited self, we all get to experience wholeness…together. Take off

My recent reading-stalemate (referred to a couple of posts ago) was interrupted last week when I decided to delve deeper into the backlog of Richard Bach and I don’t know why I didn’t think of it sooner. With my old … Continue reading
