In search of the lost chord
This garden universe vibrates complete Some, we get a sound so sweet Vibrations reach on up to become light And then through gamma, out of sight Between the eyes and ears there lie The sounds of colour and the light … Continue reading →

Out of the spin cycle
I was doing some dusting the other day, reaching up high to the top of a book shelf when I noticed a long-legged spider hanging on a fine thread of web in the corner of the ceiling, spinning and spinning … Continue reading →

Fluidity and form in the living landscape of life
…these two artists I encountered had something in common. Though their mark making was pared back, economical with nothing superfluous in there at all, these landscapes THROBBED with unseen energetic life, before my very eyes, and reminded me that all things in existence are like this. We are all made-up of so much more than that which is registered by the first five senses and these other impulses make all of us, and the very landscape with which we interact at these unseen levels, who we truly are… Continue reading →

Evolving through collective grief to the other side
Are we prepared to evolve? Really? Through all of our layers, to the very core of our being, fully commited to this in every way? Its such an important question and not being clear on this can prolongue a state of unacknowledged grieving for the “old norm”; grieving being a necessary process for both individuals and the collective…but not one we are meant to get stuck in for very long. The harmonic perspective

“Brain” waves and consciousness: the evolutionary imperative
Exploring how “brain waves” are related to human consciousness; how they already impact our thinking and behaviour and whether they are on the verge of changing us all, in a profoundly evolutionary sense with, no doubt, massive implications for our world. Continue reading →

Like a bee from a jar
Having just finished reading “Set Free: A Life Changing Journey from Banking to Buddhism in Bhutan”, I realise suddenly that finding others people’s stories like this is terribly important to me and I am actively looking for more like this. Perhaps it is a sign that I am ready to join up with other people, even if only so far as noticing similar patterns in our experiences and smiling quietly to see those patterns in motion. Crossing paths with others operating from a dramatically reformatted and yet remarkably similar place to your own can be such encouragement. There is a powerful point of creative evolution, a sort of concentrated forward momentum, to be found in the meeting place between your two sets of experiences and the many ways that they are found to correspond; like the essence of oneness in action.
This book corresponded with my own experiences of a “tear it up and start again” life very powerfully and the real gift is that its author was prepared to overcome her initial misgivings to share what she did. I experience the same wobble and doubts about sharing my own story every time I write a blog…yet it feels to me that sharing the journey of awakening could be the most important thing that I am doing with my life (apart from taking the journey itself…). As above, I really hope that increasing numbers of people are prepared to hold their spiritual journeys somewhat less close to the chest in order to put these experiences out there since I suspect the time has come when we really need the encouragement of each other. We long to sense that we are not alone on these very intense personal journeys and to notice the patterns; for in those patterns, and the making conscious of them, we give even more wind to our collective sails…(extract from “Like a bee from the jar”). #SetFree #SpiritualAwakening

Outside of time
The kind of powerful “a-ha” moments that transform whole realities in a single moment are like the meer cat of the mountain; they only show themselves once an insistence upon linear time has left the vicinity. Which is, ironically, when every one gets to realise we didn’t need time to have an experience; we insisted upon it to give a feeling of sides to our experiences, so that we would have something to push against, something with which to compare and contrast one situation with another in a sequence (I was over there, then I did that….now I am over here) but we can think of those sides as like trainer wheels which we can now do without and still not fall over. We now have, off pat, the familiar sensation of what it is to experience one thing as distinct from another, so what if we can continue doing that outside of time? We have become so afraid that we would be unable to know ourselves or even exist (what is existence if I can’t measure it?) without those structures in place that we have become like my father, micromanaging and making-busy ever more in an effort to hold our reality together inside its well-organised little box. But what if the box is preventing us from seeing what we really want to see? What if we really need no box, certainly not as a limitation upon ourselves…and would still exist without it, having our most incredible experiences beyond it; what then? What if – evolutionarily speaking – we have reached the crucial point where we have to be prepared to take that leap into the unknown, beyond the box, to where we are about to mix it all up, structure and no structure, the best of both, like a meeting of left and right hemispheres in the most harmonious and creative partnership of our so-called history? Yet we have to be prepared to prise apart our own white-knuckle grip upon linear time to get even close to this happening. Like someone hanging off the edge of a cliff, we have to know we can let go and trust that we will still be alright when that happens…try telling that to someone seeking an assurance based upon scientific trial and error, but then, our evolution relies upon taking a leap beyond such assurances. Perhaps in the space beyond linear time, we will discover other kinds of reassurance which are just as compelling… Continue reading →

Following the unseen river
The sense of all these voices being tuned-in and innately guided towards an unrehearsed harmony that perfectly blended all the various pitches, the personal notes into one unified sound was quite palpable and, as it hit the ceiling, this magnified one-sound seemed to rain down on us and feed back into us all as pure energy…It seemed like I had followed an invisible flow to be here this night. I had been part of a river of great healing flowing freely, had witnessed something incredible, taken part in it, knew for certain something quite wonderful was well underway…. Continue reading →
