Back in the body

Its been made all too easy for us, not just the most sensitive, to vacate our bodies, even preferable (culturally speaking) that we lose ourselves in escapism rather than staying fully awake and present, having an opinion or taking action regarding whatever timeline we are collectively on. Perhaps its time we sensitivies commited to becoming more grounded, practicing how to be more fully present with our bodies, learning to ride or even transform all the triggers, in order to anchor our higher vision to the physical world we all share together as our only embodied “home”. Soft landing

Amsterdam through Asperger’s eyes; a multi-dimensional map, a palette of many textures and a journey of deep self-exploration. Continue reading

The quickening

The Quickening is that rhythm, pulsed through the earth, that gives the blossom its cue to open from the bud, the birds to sing louder, the green shoots to push through the earth, the bulb to explode with new life, the mating pairs to think ahead to nesting, the first butterflies to risk flight, the clouds to give way to blue and the river to run with all-new vitality, casting sparkles into a clear sky. The way we received this rhythmn (indeed, whether we are able to receive it at all) affects everything about the way we manifest as human beings, as I have come to experience from both sides of what that feels like and, I can assure you, they feel very different indeed… Continue reading

Taking back the wheel

Its when we get to take back the control of our own wheel that the wide-open road of life has this habit of coming up to meet us, unfolding a little more each day in proportion to our own preparedness to travel along it; as though there are whole stretches that never even bother to show themselves to us unless we display that initial willingness to take the journey of them. It makes me wonder at the vast expanse of road that, likely, never even appears to our senses when we fail to look out for it being there; and how much more endless highway there is “out there” to be explored when we are on the look out for the possibility of more, more, more all the time. Once we are open to exploring that road fully, adventurous, courageously wherever it may take us then, suddenly, life has this habit of opening up wide once again; I’ve demonstrated this truism, monumentally, twice in my life to date (as shared in this post…) and it won’t take a third time of forgetting for me to hold onto it from here now I’ve taken back that wheel for myself. Continue reading

Blasting love into all the darkest corners

Both inside and out, I realised, I had met such an opportunity this weekend…a cosmically orchestrated invitation NOT to return to old reactions, those same old patterns of fear and hatred and obliteration, but to go in deeper and with my heart wide open. By starting with what we know, the familiar, the relatable, we get to follow similar threads into deeper corners, less relatable places but where the message is still the same, the opportunity still one to meet, to hear something out, to recognise one’s own self blinking back at you from the darkness and to love that frightened and cornered part of yourself back to health. When a situation seems chronic – whether a chronic illness or an unfolding catastrophe in our world – the opportunity is that, exactly like a Trojan horse, these ‘awful’ things can take you to the very root of the ‘problem’, right in so deep that the opportunity to blast the light of love into all the very darkest places, the very source of the ‘illness’, is the very gift at the heart of things, just waiting to opened; an invitation to heal and transform from the inside out. La petite mort

Its been a super-intense week. First, a crash into…what?…intense physical pain, overwhelm, leaden emotions the likes of which I could hardly remember (though I knew their demeanour well enough to realise we had met before); this all came from nowhere … Continue reading

Coming out to play

Some people are born ‘naturals’ with children and some really aren’t. Some mistake immaturity for stupidity and impose their adult ‘know-how’ in a patronising way, delivering information on a need to know basis, making it prescriptive, leaving no room for … Continue reading

Windows of insight

All along the road that has been the fibromyalgia years, ‘brain fog’ (an appropriately wooly term used to describe a myriad of ‘brain symptoms’) has been such a significant part of what I have been experiencing…and, in fact, its one … Continue reading
