Little wren

All kinds of realities can look as real as anything as we proceed through our human existence; we are all surrounded by them, every day, but when we keep hurting ourselves because of them, we can be sure they are a fiction of some kind…perhaps one that is so long-running that we don’t even remember anything different. They can be as convincing as anything we have ever seen, made all the more potent through the tug of nostalgia and familiarity. When they are a false reality in our experience, and they suddenly dissolve, we don’t go to pieces with that circumstance but, rather, that dissolution is what it takes to end the repeat cycles of self-destruction….perhaps even those repeated across many lifetimes. We stop hurling ourselves and hurtling mindlessly towards things that don’t serve us, in search of what we have fixated upon as “what we need to perpetuate in order to survive”. As is sometimes the case before illusory worlds fall apart (as we are seeing happen right now in our world-politics…), the illusory reality sometimes has to be stepped up to become even more overtly unnatural than ever, in order for us to “get it” and move on. Such a moment is what proceeds the moment of realisation…when we, as it were, wake up to what is real and swiftly find our way back to ourselves.

This tale of extreme optimism was “told” to me by a little wren just the other day… Continue reading

Out of time

It made me smile when I read the Deva Premal post on Instagram that showed a photo of her and Miten and she commented “must have been a very long time ago, the days when we still wore watches” but … Continue reading

Doing absolutely nothing

How do we get to regain the marvel-factor that must come with each small achievement or observation of commonplace experiences following an event such as devastating illness or a close brush with death, without having to go through the terrible loss or trauma of anything being “lost”, even if only temporarily? How do we get back to that level of awe and appreciation, the awareness and the in-the-moment presence with what is happening right here and now (not in our heads)? Because, as a species, we need these perspectives more than we ever did; they round us and they rebalance us in ways critical to our ability to thrive and survive. Continue reading

Life beyond karma

Life beyond karma feels like switching to making digital art after many years of painting. Its like using only the best, most enlightened bits of your experience to make the picture of your choice without having to labour and revisit or recycle what feels done with, including all those early “mistakes” that you are striving to make good of. This and many more observations of what it feels like beyond the impulses and convoluted agendas and layering of the karmic experience… Continue reading

Raising an indigo

Raising an indigo child can be as exhausting as it is rewarding yet it will have contributed to our own personal evolution in more than we can quickly summarise. As these children start to come of age, what have we learned, what have we offered them and in what ways have we set the basis for a super-powerful collaboration that continues to give rise to a whole new world landscape, and far faster and more astonishingly than we have ever seen manifest before. Continue reading

Perfectly poised on the peak

So, what if what we are seeing all over our news is the evidence of “the rub” being reaching by the entirety of mankind as the evolutionary growing pains of a planet whose compass needle is bouncing and tremoring and seeming to flip around all of its own accord…just before it settles? What if it has to look this messy, this extreme, this unlikely to become still or to line up with what feels balanced, before it finds the middle point? What if our roles is to find it (and hold it), first, within ourselves and then to hold what that feels like steadily in our mind’s eye and with our intention until it becomes physical reality? Is this how we reinvigorate ourselves with life’s passion – which has a tendency to arrive on the coat-tails of finding a sense of direction – instead of folding beneath the overwhelm of far too many things tugging us this way or that way and no idea how to discern between them? Is this when we notice how those nearest a breakthrough will feel more and even, perhaps, hurt more before that breakthrough of light happens and that this is why we must keep going and not give up in despair, supporting those who feel it as pain; allowing and encouraging it to be more like butter than sandpaper? Is this when everything in our experience falls into place and feels “true”; like the true aim of an arrow tip clearly pointing the way although there is no beginning or end to this arrow since it becomes steadiest in “the now”? In other words, our fixation must be upon achieving what we can now, in this moment, not on some end goal or where we have been. This is how we join up all the elements of ourselves and find a centre point where these all correspond; even patiently awaiting those aspects which haven’t yet caught up, holding space for great healing to take place when they arrive. Perhaps this is when we get to realise our greatest truth in physical form as well as know it as an idea; which is, after all, why we came. Continue reading

Lining up with the eclipse

In this next phase, we get to strike the match of ourselves, those of us who have been busy atuning to the Ninth Wave and its rhythms…and we get to see our space light up again with the many-flames of all those who are doing likewise, now far easier to spot in the dark, like fireflies dancing in the night…. (read more in Lining-up with the Eclipse). Continue reading

Living from the centre

There is a place that I go…that I’ve worked with…for well over a decade now; you could call it my spiritual hub, somewhere I walk to process things through, even when I don’t know that I’m processing them or needing to work anything out. It doesn’t really matter to my readers where the place is; it could be anywhere and you probably have one similar of your own, somewhere that draws you to it, repeatedly, though you hardly know why. Long before I came to understand how I work with this particular landscape, as an externalised “model” of some inner landscape that I am also walking through, I came to this place and found a special solace from being there, like it helped me unravel parts of myself that might otherwise have remained in an unfathomable tangle. Through my feet, its features helped me untangle and make simpler what was otherwise unfathomably complex; layer upon layer, through many years’ walks that became littered with symbolism, adding a richness of association that was built upon each time I went there (which was often)…read on… Continue reading

Absolute healing

Probably the most comprehensive, coherent and powerful post on healing that I have ever shared drawing on everything I have come to know about achieving wholeness within a physical body. Far too vast to summarise, far too important not to … Continue reading

Don’t feel you have to ditch your story (unless you really want to)

Don’t throw your story away unless you want to…its about to become useful (those theories that you must put your story down are such old hat)! Like a kaleidoscope creates a new pattern every time we shake it, when we operate from the void of all creation, new patterns emerge in every moment and, from them, we derive meaning and insight. The story we have chosen to preserve about ourselves includes bits and pieces of all those preferences we have expressed across the years…books and films we dived into, nuggets of things that attracted our attention, places we travelled, small details, conversations, hardships that helped make us who we now realise we are, personal traits that bobbed up time and time again until we knew they were important…all held waiting for us to thread onto a new strand of understanding at some unforeseen moment in the future, only to fall off the thread and be recycled for another day just as quickly (nothing need be turned to concrete anymore and our story is retained as a much more fluid thing than we remember it ever being before). Continue reading
