When will we truly understand the power of believing in our vote?

Voting is important; I couldn’t agree more, but we vote in far more ways than one and there’s no point putting an “x” in a box only to contradict that choice with a lack of belief. Exploring some of our vastly under-utilised powers as creator beings, along with some of the subtle misgivings and sheer dauntedness we may feel around wielding them (as one who knows only all too well…) Continue reading

On edge

Do you pay attention to your extra senses? Perhaps its time to listen; to give them air time, push them to the front of the queue when you are being bombarded by other information sources (many of them unreliable…). Maybe they even have some good news for you… Continue reading

It all seems so simple to me…

Throw back or way-shower, broken or inspirational, inconvenient or key influencer and right on time. Diversity is always interesting but, right now, it could be crucial and here’s a few thoughts about why (as originally posted to Living Whole). Continue reading

Shared roots and scattered seeds

Collaborative music is one of my biggest passions; the feeling of it goes way beyond the lyrics or the tune and becomes a harmonic of happy coincidences, dismantled wall and powerful juxtapositions. The heart gets recruited, first…not as a cerebral afterthought…when such rhythms are unleashed. It’s a whole-sensory experience, beyond the boundary lines of culture or genre. How I long for the experience to be shared by so many more people; for them to be stirred up from their slumber and to feel what we all find so hard to give form to, as yet, in this world… Continue reading

The alchemy of now

Consider this, when you notice profound alchemy taking place (as I suspect you are doing, or could be about to…); don’t rush to share every detail of it, to whoop and holler it from the rooftops. Allow yourself to take … Continue reading

Soft landing

Amsterdam through Asperger’s eyes; a multi-dimensional map, a palette of many textures and a journey of deep self-exploration. Continue reading

Logically spiritual

For the longest time, I pushed back against “logic” and “order”, “structure” and “form as though they were the very enemies of my being. Since my Asperger’s diagnosis, I’ve been compelled to review that attitude and flip it on its … Continue reading

Pigment of life

When a new paradigm starts to emerge, it can seem lacking in depth, an unfamiliar “convenience food” where a complex banquet of life used to be, throwing us into a turmoil of nostalgia for the old ways…though we don’t want those either. What calls us through the bewildering territory is an unspeakable force, an original spark without name… Continue reading

Jane Eyre – nineteenth century Aspie woman

Yesterday, I was at the Blackeyed Theatre stage production of Jane Eyre and, from the front balcony seat looking down onto the stage, I saw something so new yet just so obvious about this well-known character that I had missed … Continue reading

Going “nowhere”, reaching beyond “the point”

A potent place on the so-called “road to nowhere”…a life review…and an opportunity to realise the astonishing power of even the most a subtly altered perspective.

All this and more from a serendipitous revisit to a place that seemed to draw me back there…no arguing! Continue reading
