Free press: a synchronistic tale

Across the locked-away years, we have always had those few individuals (sometimes, but not always, females) who have been prepared to express themselves in spite of how hard their circumstances made it for them to do so and Anne Frank was one such “feminine” impulse…A story of remarkable synchronicity as long-time hidden things continue releasing from their “box”. Spinning light

Many of us are natural-born spinners and don’t even know it; we spin stories around the fireside of our blogs or when we meet people who seem ready to listen and, of course, there is already so much “spin” in the world but then why should the big-manipulators, the game-players, have all the use of that skill set out there in the world? There is another “story” to be told about what is currently happening in this world and I know I am here to tell it; me as only one voice amongst so many others forming a chorus and so many of them the women who are finding their voices after eons of needing to be seen and not heard. Women have often spun together in groups and spinning our version of truth to each other and to our organically grown audience is a way that we get to revive that activity in a way that truly makes a difference because, together, we are spinning a brand new reality. Inspired by this and many others outlined in this post, I have decided to change the name of my blogging and social media “brand” from Scattering the Light to Spinning the Light (read on…) Continue reading

A week in Wales day one: “Pause – Rewind – Play”

A subtle change in geography for a week has gifted me an action replay of the changing season from woody Winter into vividest Springtime. It makes me realise how much we get to enjoy that moment of pure, poised potential when we stop rushing forwards all the time; to appreciate that unique moment of held-breath before exhalation, of dynamic stillness “just before” something occurs, when the possibility of it “happening” first makes itself known and yet hasn’t…yet. Like a delicious pause in the progression of our own evolution, we get to hold both the “before” and “after” in the same moment, a perfect dovetail joint of both and to know all of it as a complete picture, just as Source gets to experience it, outside of time and space. We get to sense the absolute perfection in all of it; all the variables, the possibilities, the before and afters, the stages in between. Our lives are a continuous progression of such moments of pure potential…if we but knew how to recognise them (as Nature does her best to show us)… Continue reading

Airing your undies on the line

What’s with all this blogging people do? For me, its an addictive, almost obsessive-compulsive sense of creating order out of the otherwise arbitrary “chaos” of consciousness, of grasping handfuls of tenuously related threads and pulling them all together into a definitive cross-over point and finishing with the pretty bow that writing gives to a series of random epiphanies. While I breathe, it seems, I must write…

When we act and create from what we feel inexplicably compelled to do (that is, from the heart), we can never fail to expand outwards from ourselves and that “small” personal act in countless ways; spiralling out into the world on the back of our own enthusiasm and becoming to others the “breath” of inspiration (breath is, necessarily two-directional…) in ways both overt or immeasurably subtle, our output ending up who knows where, like the very air from our lungs. So, does blogging serve a purpose for those who do it…does art or anything done for the love of it…well, does breathing? Continue reading
