Coming out of our shell

Lets be honest, most of us live as though we dwell in the shadow of a mountain called cancer most of our lives because our culture has now been set up that way. The idea of it is promulgated everywhere, in the warnings and cursory tales, the way it is made to feel almost inevitable (perhaps especially if you are a female), like it has become a stage of life that we must pass through…or not. It has been made the big-bad bogey man of our times so that our children have usually heard all about it, or know someone who has had it, by the time they go to school and notch it up on their lifetime expectations board as a “given” next to all those other givens that are handed out to our culture like dubiously intended sweets from a shadowy stranger. Why do we accept them, these hard so-called “givens” of our society?

I have played a great deal with the way we furnish the inner spaces of our fourth-dimensional playground (that “place” where we formulate the ideas, archetypes and belief systems that we live…and create… by) and the way we currently paint cancer in that dimension often has us defeated before we even get started. We are trolled by the idea of cancer long before it gets anywhere near our cells and, like I played with on the topic of the Epstein Barr virus last year, if there is anything inside of us that matches the currently attached vibration of sacrifice, littleness, fear and inevitable doom (the catastrophe vibe that runs very strongly in our culture) then we succumb to it as soon as our cellular circumstances line up with these ideas around it, like an alignment of ill-fated stars with our own thoughts casting the first and final shadow that serves to join them up. But, for that to happen, we have to be in that inner place where we agree to such an interpretation of what cancer is, chosing to forget the active part we get to play in what is, effectively, a dialogue or two-way communication (as all situations are). So, we need to ask, is it shouting us down, are we attempting to shout it down…or can we both sit down and listen to each other? Continue reading

In every ending…a new beginning

The mother could not be such without the child, nor the beginning exist without the ending…and so we go on birthing ourselves through the creative fires of each other, joined together equally by the creative watery flow that courses back and forth; linked by both the “fire” and the “water” processes that generate who we are.

There is no imperative to have been through the literal birthing experience to know and understand this fundamental process of life since it is the basis of all experience; the yin and the yang in action. Many of us have been (or are going) through our own particular version of the kind of fire that transforms and yet we can trust that the water of healing and deeper understanding will always follow. I sense that the healing, invigorating and enlightening waters of this reality are on the brink of breaching their holding spaces and overflowing their edges right now, for all of us, as we collectively birth into the themes of the Aquarius age. Just as I am hearing from water across so many aspects of my life, I sense that we are collectively expectant (and just a little bit nervous…as is only natural) as we reach that equally collective moment of the waters breaking ready to birth something entirely new and transformational into our world. Larger than life

When we believe we only have one life, the pressure to get it right can be interminable and sometimes we bow down to that weight, giving up on everything beneath our heavy grey blanket of hopelessness. We also get mud-stuck in the material world. Conversely, realising we have multi-lives doesn’t mean we throw life away as though disposable but that we act like the pros that we really are, deciphering codes, playing with patterns, discovering whole themes that we are working on and feeling like we are (finally) getting somewhere with it all. It can elevate life completely once you start seeing yourself as the main character in this vastly bigger “story” where even the pitfalls are “another go” at tackling a theme that has tripped you up before. You can even see beyond the so-called bad news when you know there is so much more to everything; and, of course, you have a much more vested interest in how things turn out and in this planet and its people in general. To miss out on this perspective is like thinking the crescent is the whole of the moon or taking the two minute teaser to be the whole of the movie; you just don’t get the subtleties or the those all-important, and rather wonderful, twists in the tale. Going direct

(In art…as in many spheres of activity; very topical, this one!) the pressing ‘need’ to make money has overtaken logic at many stages of the game, which is what happens when we place money at the centre of everything by deciding its what makes the world go round. Maybe we need to choose a different axle for our wheel… Continue reading

Don’t give it your power…and then paint it the way you like it

When these apparent tumbles in our circumstances happen, it hurts with all the betrayal of thinking that all the glories we have gathered along the way were false signposts, conjurings, mistaken glimpses through the mist. The pain comes from feeling our power taken off us – all over again (or that’s how we feel) but, really, it is because we have forgotten who we really are for long enough to give our power away…again. Its death of a thousand cuts comes from the handing over of our power to outside circumstances at the first sign of “here we go again”, making our joy conditional like we are sheep resignedly walking back into the same-old fold. The shock to our system can be profound after living it large for so long. We allow ourselves to go back to that cramped little world where we “can only be happy if” such and such thing happens or is a certain way, having come to know how expansive it is to live way beyond that. It is not so much that we are disappointed by this thing as in ourselves…for freely handing over our sovereignty to the “stand and deliver” of outside circumstance all over again, having told ourselves we were beyond all that. If there was one week when I needed to easily demonstrate to myself that I was capable of flight…whatever the outward circumstance…this was that week yet the learned behaviours of lie down and succumb can be powerful pattern-makers and they play out even now, in the swan-song of their era; for we are way beyond going back into the small places we have lived in for so long. This week has felt like the death throes of old reactions that hold us small…while we catch our breath…before throwing them over for ever. Continue reading

Signs the great softening is underway

This last month, I started to notice something very strange happening to the water that I drink every day (and to find out what, I suggest you read my post and ask yourself whether you are seeing this too…) We might not all be open to noticing these subtle, elemental variations in our familiar world yet they are still happening behind the scenes; as though we are all being dissolved and then reconstituted from the same mineral ingredients as before (“the same” enough that we think nothing has altered and yet…somehow… we are quite different). Even this week, which has been taxing and triggering in the extreme, I can feel difference in people’s reactions all around me; played out as a new degree of receptivity, fluidity, gentleness, malleability and adaptability in people’s responses to situations that might have triggered and entrenched them before. Many more people than ever are prepared to look at things differently. I am am seeing more yielding; the kind that is not about weakness but, actually, about a deeper and more pervasive, even more authentic form of strength because it uses what we have all been through – together – as the softening-agent that feeds back into the water of life and better serves us all. Our collective experiences become the newly liberated minerals that provide nutrition rather than the calcified barricades that separate us further (Read more…) Continue reading

Shaken not stirred…obviously the way we like it

As I wake up this morning to what I find I already knew before I opened my eyes, it seems we have chosen the route of most entropy in order to evolve. Not what so many of us wanted; not … Continue reading

Being light, choosing your vibe…whatever

It is as though we are collectively holding our breath at the start of election week, both highly triggered and oh-so quick to shoot each other yet simultaenously paralysed into the hopelessness of two dire “options” on the table; have we ever felt so short-changed? We are all affected, wherever we live; I see it in everyone’s face, I hear all the worries coming home from school with my daughter. There is a tangible feeling of overwhelm, of “what have we done, what are we doing” sweeping the world and this feeds into the cells of our biology, into all the subtle mindsets at play and into the collective vibration of the world. Can we really do anything? Well yes and I was just reminded through the experience I share in this post what a vast difference it can make!

Through the ways that we allow ourselves to engage with each other, respond mindfully and step up to our own power (or not!), we are making the notes on a vast collective instrument and the sound it is making right now is a little unsure of itself…even amongst those who consider themselves awake or evolving, those who chose love and envision a brighter future…yes, even those people are wavering somewhat, like they are really not sure what to do with themselves, where to put their attention, how to behave in the physical world or in the private domain of their own heart at this testing time. Some are being taken back into what feels like a relapse into the kind of fear and sense of lost power that they thought they had put behind them five or ten years ago and this is disorienting them; making them question their whole evolutionary journey or, like they used to, whether they really want to be here in human form. Yet never has it been more essential to apply everything we have come to know about being divinity in form as the “human actions” of our days; to allow the rubber to meet the road as we drive a new reality forwards, not suddenly bailing out into fear. As I learned last night, every thought counts as it holds the power to alter a reality; to drop down or climb back up the dimensional scale.

Many of us have come such a long way with our personal evolution over the last three to five years that what is playing out in the world feels, at once, so alien (thus not anything to do with us) yet also so doubly abrasive when we pop out of our high-vibe bubble that we hardly know how to respond. So many people that are “spiritual” are declaring an intention not to vote and yet I would urge them to take whatever steps resonate with their heart within the premise that “not to vote” is the same as voting for the other possibility. We have to take the physical, human steps towards our chosen reality as well as the mindful ones that help birth a new reality; I have learned this at every step of my evolution. To wishful think is not enough; it takes action “within the current paradigm” as well as intention-setting “outside of it” to create a new reality; the weight we give to the best we have out of the current physical circumstances serves as the traction against the walls of the birth canal that accelerates our journey towards the light at the end of the tunnel; we can’t just sit hoping for a better outcome and crossing our fingers we will get there. The whole world is holding its breath for America to vote-in the best deal on the current table and most of us can’t take that vote; we are asking Americans to do it for us; we are holding that intention with everything we have, hoping those who hold a ballet card will take that walk to the box. Many of us are bridging two realities now; one foot in the physical world, another in the metaphysical and we are that aspect keeping the two of them working together and in balance; after all, this is what makes us so divinely human; the best of both, embodied as one. Seeing through time

When you start to see through time it such a remarkable thing that, first, you wonder why you didn’t do it before…then you realise that you did and always have; that its sides have been as flux as you ever allowed them to be and that all it took to dissolve them was to choose to see beyond its constraints. We think of time as strictly back to front yet really it operates in all directions to the pinpoint that is us making everything simultaneous. Suddenly to reach to the future is no different than to “remember” backwards and we get to jump sideways at will, to feel out other possibilities while still committed to this one…then to mix them up, like taking a pinch of seasoning from another dish and flavouring our own until we make it just the way we like it.
