What if life is always working with you…

Just because you realise some of your biggest quantum leaps to date have occurred off the back of resisting or fighting-off things and situations that you didn’t like (one bit) and that you – most likely – attribute some of your most evolutionary moments to surviving some of those situations doesn’t mean you have to seek out or or expect more of them to give your life the evolutionary shove you think it needs. You can become so accustomed to struggle that you keep manifesting more of it as you feel its the only way you know how to gain traction or measure it. When you learn to soul-search much earlier in the process of confronting those things that feel most challenging; asking ‘what’s in it for me’ as its happening, you can get right to the pearl at the heart of the situation at the very moment that it is most useful for you to grasp this, rather than with all the poignancy of hindsight (and all that struggle and suffering along the way). Be prepared to receive many personal gifts when you do this and then, most startling of all, be amazed as the ‘situation’ that had you struggling and gnashing your teeth just a moment ago is transformed into a significantly disarmed version of itself… Continue reading

Emerging through layers

It occurs to me Scattering the Light is a little light on art-related posts since I branched out to create a separate art blog Painting Light a few months ago, so here’s one of my most recent, including a video … Continue reading

Healing the crazy-wonderful world

When the inner and outside worlds present the same information in almost mirror-format (as it did for me this week), the message gets through loud and clear and I have never been more aware of how fear acts like a virus in ways both obvious and less so; and in that latter is the gift at the core. Because in shining a light where the virus leads our attention, detecting the parallels with our ‘outside world’, we carry out a deep-cleanse of love and healing that transforms everything, both inside and out. Blasting love into all the darkest corners

Both inside and out, I realised, I had met such an opportunity this weekend…a cosmically orchestrated invitation NOT to return to old reactions, those same old patterns of fear and hatred and obliteration, but to go in deeper and with my heart wide open. By starting with what we know, the familiar, the relatable, we get to follow similar threads into deeper corners, less relatable places but where the message is still the same, the opportunity still one to meet, to hear something out, to recognise one’s own self blinking back at you from the darkness and to love that frightened and cornered part of yourself back to health. When a situation seems chronic – whether a chronic illness or an unfolding catastrophe in our world – the opportunity is that, exactly like a Trojan horse, these ‘awful’ things can take you to the very root of the ‘problem’, right in so deep that the opportunity to blast the light of love into all the very darkest places, the very source of the ‘illness’, is the very gift at the heart of things, just waiting to opened; an invitation to heal and transform from the inside out. Twinning with my self

Some people feel passionately that they are in search of a soul-match, a twin flame; and though I know what it feels like to connect very deeply with others, I’ve never had the feeling that I am searching for another … Continue reading
