Durham doorways

 

Print of Purple Door - the door of The Choristers School, DurhamI’ve been meaning to write this post for ages as the photos were taken 18 months ago during a stay in Durham, however I’ve only just got around to adding them to my Flickr gallery (such is my back-log).  The reason for writing this is that I have a bit of a “thing” about doors and the doorways in Durham were exceptional – in the space of an hour or two I encountered some of the most photogenic doorways I’d ever seen, resulting (in fact) in my recent drawing – now a Limited Edition Print, newly available in my shop – Purple Door.  Not only doorways – the windows and lanterns were equally photogenic – take a look:
